Nicholas S. Gatlin, PhD, CSM, OCM

Nicholas Gatlin, PhD’s (also known on various social media platforms as “@DrEntotheGee”) life experiences has literally afforded him the opportunity to interact and work with people from all over the world. From Thailand to Taiwan, South Korea to Saudi Arabia, and China to the Congo, Dr. Gatlin has impacted someone professionally or personally, whether it has been in the classroom, the workspace, or in passing. He has worked in the areas of project management, strategic analysis and planning, community engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and curriculum design and development. While his experiences in the workplace have been challenging, yet rewarding, they have shaped him into who and where he is today.

Dr. Gatlin currently serves as the Vice President of Programs for the Project Management Institute of Central Chapter (PMICOC), where he is responsible for all programming and certification training offerings for over 2200-chapter members. In addition, he is a Visiting Lecturer at Otterbein University, where he teaches courses in TESOL Pedagogy as well as Research Design and Academic and Technical Writing.

Prior to his current roles, Dr. Gatlin worked as the Sr. Client Engagement Manager for TMH Solutions, LLC, a minority owned, woman owned and managed Information, Technology, and Management consulting firm and enterprise software reseller. His role encompasses the areas of program management and governance, business development, and training and development. Through his commitment in this role, Dr. Gatlin has led business proposal efforts that have generated business through acquiring multiple state and local multi-year consultant engagement projects and enterprise sales contracts during his tenure with the company.

Dr. Gatlin worked in higher education as a Lecturer and Program Success Manager at The University of Texas at Austin in the Department of International Studies. There, he lectured graduate courses in the areas of Academic and Professional Writing and Oral and Intercultural Communication. He also has international experience lecturing at universities in Taiwan and South Korea in the areas of Intercultural Communication, TESOL Pedagogy, and Teacher Trainer preparation course, which resulted in an 87% and 89% pass rates of the National Teacher’s Examination in English in both countries, respectively.

Dr. Gatlin serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Columbus Community Helping Hands (GCCHH) Foundation and is also He is also an active member of the Alpha Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he serves as the  training and development committee Vice Chair and the Director of Membership Intake and Development.

Dr. Gatlin has an MA and PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Linguistics and Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. His dissertation focused on African American college students’ motivation, anxiety levels, and beliefs about foreign language learning with respect to their respective college campus environment. He also has a BA in Comparative Government and Economics, with a minor in Italian Literature from The University of Virginia. Dr. Gatlin is also a Certified Scrum Master and a Certified Organizational Change Management Practitioner. He is multilingual with superior fluency in French, and intermediate fluency in Italian and Spanish. He is an avid international traveler and foodie, enjoys music, and playing sports. He also enjoys cooking, as his signature dish—Jambalaya—is one that he describes as “a movie!” Dr Gatlin is also a self-proclaimed “cookie snob,” as he is always on the search for the best tasting cookie that can compete with his stuffed Nutella triple chocolate chip brown-buttered sea salt cookie.
